EXPERIMENT Nº 001 · THE WORLD RIGHT NOW

How many people are experiencing an orgasm right now?

people simultaneously · estimate

This is a model, not a detector. Displaying a single-person digit does not mean the estimate is accurate to one person. Practice and hourly assumptions remain highly uncertain.

Methods, assumptions & scientific limitations

Formula: adult population × weekly orgasms × share of practice × average duration × time-of-week coefficient ÷ 604,800. Hourly profiles are normalised over a week. The ×0.65 / ×1 / ×1.45 scenarios are sensitivity tests, not confidence intervals.

Baseline rates (4.38 for men and 2.52 for women per week) come from a 2025 meta-analysis. Age factors, practice splits (55/38/7% men; 40/40/20% women), extrapolated durations (13.5 / 12.3 seconds), regional demographics and time profiles are assumptions. This is NOT a scientifically validated global measurement.

The men/women split follows simplified demographic tables and does not represent all gender identities. People under 18 are excluded. Regional 2026 populations are approximate; age/sex shares are not an exhaustive UN table extraction.

Studies about intercourse timing do not establish the timing of all orgasms, including solo events. Treat these figures as illustrative.
